“just stay persistent, nothing is going to be handed to you, and you kind of learn that the hard way. Money doesn’t grow on trees and nothing is going to be handed to you. So just be persistent and stay strong in your mind that what you are doing is something you believe in, and then work hard at it and it will lead to good things ”…[Listen for More]

Brian Marcel is a pioneer of barcodes and the first to start joint ventures in the former Eastern Bloc after the fall of Communism. His book Raise the Bar Change the Game acts a primer to help budding entrepreneurs change the game as he did.

“Well all these things I have mentioned really. Self belief, being positive, eliminate naysayers, not to get stuck with finding original ideas, perseverance, all of those good things. And just start the business, try not to look for excuses not to do it because you will love it. Because if you are looking to start a business you obviously hate being managed by anybody or reporting to anybody. You are if free spirit, a loner so go and spread your wings, fulfil your dreams. And what difference does it make if you fail. You know the number of times I have failed… Just pick yourself up, start again. You are so young - go for it.” (4 Lines minimum – if less then need more quotes) …[Listen for More]

“work hard and be humble… The work hard is you have got to have some vision about the offer. And the humble thing goes back to your question earlier about changes going to come, how are you going to deal with it? Getting smug isn’t going to work, nobody buys smugness, they buy that you can help solve their problems. As my father said early on first of all never perjur yourself always be honest, the second thing is that your customers are going to tell you what business you are in – and they will, so listen. The more you talk in a business meeting the less well the business meeting is going”…[Listen for More]

Brian Rhea is an entrepreneur who grew up watching his mom and dad grow their business from a desk in the kitchen, to the garage, to a new office building in his hometown. Brian has been building websites since 1994. He has used Photoshop 3.0 on a Macintosh Quadra 650 and wrote code in BBEdit for Netscape Navigator. The point is: He has been doing this for a while. He has had enough successes (executive member of an eight-figure acquisition) and made plenty of mistakes to have learned a thing or two about building successful businesses online. Knowing how to build something is easy compared to knowing what to build. The customer-centric (Jobs to Be Done) approach Brian uses will ensure you won’t waste time chasing bad ideas. With years of experience navigating the competing priorities of engineering, product, sales and customer support, he likes to help companies ship profitable software.

“build up savings to give you a margin for failure because you will fail along the way. Things are going to come up that you can’t control. Just go for it is really terrible advice and just increases the likelihood that you will have to give up on your dreams. So yeah be bold. Going into business yourself is already very very bold, you are already being brave. But be thoughtful and patient about it beforehand so that when you do make this leap you have actually more room to to be even more daring, more crazy, more risky”…[Listen for More]

By combining aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (soil-less plant growth), aquaponics organically simulates a balanced ecosystem in which plants can thrive. After graduating from Mohawk College in Hamilton, Warren became the third-generation of Bravo to join the family business - Bravo Cement Contracting. By the early 1990s, Bravo had climbed from journeyman cement finisher to company president, leading the business to become the largest concrete floor finishing company in Canada and building a worldwide presence. Their mission: help patients improve their quality of life while furthering the science of medical cannabis and sustainable agriculture around the world.

“I had a lot of challenges with waiting for answers from our governing body which is health Canada. As I mentioned earlier I am kind of a take the bull by the horns and get it done type of personality. And so I was used to the construction industry and had gratification and getting things done by me making phone calls and me making things happen on job sites. And so that was gratification for me because I was the master of my own destiny and now in this new industry there’s waiting for health Canada to give me an answer which would take 30 to 60 days in a question that I had about some of our production activities. That was a big personal learning curve for me, and learning patients in something that I have never had to be dictated to in my businesses previously”…[Listen for More]

“to understand fundamentally that if you think you can you can and if you think you can’t you can’t… And so I think that that mindset gets talked about so much from an entrepreneurs perspective because we think truly comes out into our actions. What we think becomes what we believe, and what we believe factors into how we act and how we behave and our attitude to things. And so if you want to do it you have got to have some belief. You can be scared, you can have some concerns, but if you want to do it you had better think that you can or you had at least better know that you are capable of figuring it out because there is no easy button in being an entrepreneur, and it is going to be hard, and it’s going to give you lots of joy and lots of freedom and lots of fun but it is going to come with his own mixed bag of a lot of stress and strain and you have to be willing to overcome the mindset that will hold you back, and the people that will hold you back when they don’t understand what you are doing. “Be legendary. It’s worth it. Really it boils down to if you call yourself an entrepreneur and you spend any amount of time, energy and money working in your business do it toward something that is actually going to matter. I think what you are doing with this interview is a great thing because it shows that unless you have a big idea, a big aspiration, a big vision it’s not really entrepreneurship its survival. There is nothing wrong with the survival stage but you have to understand what’s the overall goal. Because I know that when people start their businesses, they have this big dream and then the day-to-day operations very often forget the big overarching reason why and I think that’s probably the biggest mistake. Because at some point if you are staying small you should just quit and get a job because that that the end of the day is going to help you to avoid the frustrations of running a business that’s not producing. And the only way to overcome that is to know why you are doing it, that your struggles is the price you are paying for something bigger. Be legendary, it’s worth it.”…[Listen for More]

Joe Nunziata is a best-selling author, spiritual life & business coach and professional speaker. He has been delivering his life-changing message at events and seminars since 1992. His enlightening programs are a unique blend of spirituality, psychology, philosophy and the power of internal energy.

“just trust yourself and believe in yourself. Because the bottom line is we are all going to have moments where we feel fearful we are all going to have moments where we have doubt. And one of the things doing energy work that I have learned was don’t resist whatever feeling you have… What we have to learn to do is say you know what I do feel fear, everybody does… So here is the way it works with energy if you resist something you create a block. So if I feel fearful I have to say to myself I accept that I feel fearful right now but I am still going to move forward. But I don’t want to resist the idea that I had that feeling. So the key to success is accepting how you feel, you continue to move forward, because the minute you accept you have fear you begin to dissolve the energy of fear. When you resist it you actually stop yourself cold because you are now trying to make believe you are not afraid and it doesn’t work. So understand that when you accept your feelings you dissolve the emotion and that’s the key that will help you move forward faster than anything else.”…[Listen for More]
