“I think that what you need to do is be very real about your journey and believe in what you are doing because it can be really, really tough but it’s also really rewarding… You need a solid foundation to make the business sustainable. So definitely get a strategy together and then a plan of how you are going to implement it. Timeframes is really important – set yourself timeframes but don’t be scared to make changes if you need to because sometimes something might not work and you have to be brave to stop if something isn’t working and try a new approach”…[Listen for More]

Stephanie Parker and Brett Parker are the co-founders of Sleeping Baby, the successful baby apparel brand that started with the Zipadee-Zip, a swaddle transition product Stephanie created when her daughter wouldn’t sleep through the night. They were on ABC’s hit reality show, Shark Tank, where they received offers from three of the investors. They initially accepted Daymond John’s offer of $200,000 for a 20% stake in the company, but they ended up not taking the investment during the negotiations after filming. Despite turning down John’s deal, Sleeping Baby still flourished. Five years later, Parker continues to grow their ethically-made, high quality products now sold online across the U.S. and in Europe, Japan, Canada and Mexico.

With over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience, Steven Page has led his Canadian-based logistics and fulfillment company, Stalco, to become a top 3rdparty logistics provider by Multichannel Merchant in 2019. Recently, Page launched a Duty Drawback program which is a Canada Customs (CBSA) Trade Incentive program that provides refunds on customs duty paid on applicable imported goods. This Trade Incentive program is combined with a U.S. Customs Clearance method (Section 321) for low-value consumer orders (under USD $800) where no duty is paid on entry into the United States. U.S. companies can have their goods shipped from China to Canada then be fulfilled by Stalco directly to individual U.S. consumers to eliminate all duty cost. Under Page’s leadership, Stalco has foreign goods imported to its fulfilment center in Toronto. The team then picks and packs the applicable goods and ships them to consumers in the U.S.at the same cost and delivery time as if it were shipped directly from the U.S. His team ships in excess of over 60,000 direct-to-consumer orders per week throughout North America concentrated mostly on the U.S.

Jenna Edwards is an Actor (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Malcolm in the Middle), an Award-Winning Film Producer (iTunes, Netflix, Hulu) and a #1 Best- Selling Author who is passionate about spreading the idea of Aggressive Optimism as far and wide as she is able to. She believes the skill of Aggressive Optimism is crucial to living an entrepreneurial lifestyle. Growing up in a small town in Minnesota, Jenna was (what she calls) a “walking statistic." According to the experts, she should have been pregnant at 16, living in poverty with an abusive husband, addicted to some form of drug. Instead, she made the choice to break the cycle and since then she has traveled the world (beginning as an exchange student in Thailand her senior year of high school), been on TV, and in movies, co- authored a #1 best-selling book and currently lives (not in poverty) in Los Angeles with her loving and supportive husband and she has just recently traveled the country for a year. She attributes her incredible life to being aware that she has a choice, that our circumstances do not have to define us and that if we practice aggressive optimism when the going gets tough, we truly can create the life we dream of living.
“find your people. But more importantly than that even the first step is figure out what your dream looks like ultimately and understand how that manifests on a daily basis. “everyone is going to tell you that right now is a bad time to start your business, don’t believe them. Number one in a recession or in a tough market it’s a great time to start a business because in a recession or in a tough market you will very quickly find out what your core business is because you won’t be able to sell anything else other than what you are the best in the world at because there is just not money out there being put towards it. Second on that same point though… And that it’s not the right time to start a business that is like is there a right time to get married, is there a right time to start a family? If you are waiting for the right time chances are you will wait forever. Instead if you think you want to do it then go and do it, just go and do it and then be prepared to work really hard in making that decision the right decision. Number one. Number two he told me don’t ever talk yourself into believing that you are worth less than what you are. Most people do… Things aren’t cheap or expensive it’s a question of value. Okay it cost a lot of money but I’m giving you that value that is signified by that price. Believe in it because what you are saying is you are believing in yourself. You are providing that value.
