Christian Espinosa is a best-selling author, entrepreneur, coach, and lover of metal music and spicy food. He’s an Air Force veteran and Ironman triathlete. He used to value being the “smartest person in the room,” only to realize his greatest contribution is bringing awareness to the issue through effective communication.

“There is a couple of things. One is to make sure you have a crystal-clear idea of how you are going to serve your target clients. And that implies you know your target client… Another one is to take a step back and understand the role of an entrepreneur. An entrepreneur the real purpose is to create something of value, to fulfil a need but do it in a way where you create the business or the organisation that serves that value that other people can run it for you. And that will allow you to get out of the operator mode and more into the owner mode and on to your next endeavour quicker you create it with that mindset”…[Listen for More]

“spend more time with other entrepreneurs… It’s a unique thing in life to do, you are going to be around a lot of the people who don’t have those same experiences or interests and you really do as an entrepreneur need to have some other entrepreneurs in your life to help you. Not just give you advice on specific topics or challenges that you are facing but also just to help you stay grounded with your journey as an entrepreneur and know that what you are going through is very similar to what so many other entrepreneurs through all time have gone through… I would encourage every entrepreneur to seek out their other community of entrepreneurs”…[Listen for More]

A husband, farmer, entrepreneur, and spiritual explorer are some of the avenues in which Andrew Blake, 31, cultivates his perspective. Andrew’s commitment to blazing his own trail has served him well professionally; he turned an obscure college idea, which would later become Blake’s Hard Cider Company, into one of the fastest growing beverage companies in the country. All of this happened while Andrew worked to evolve the fields that raised him, by transforming Blake Farms into a leader in the agricultural space and becoming one of the preeminent destinations in the Midwest. Today, Blake's has expanded its offerings into 18 states, has a 40,000 square foot production facility with 250,000 barrel capacity. Blake's Hard Cider is now that fastest growing business in its category in the nation. Blake Family of Companies now staffs over 800 employees and has expanded its portfolio of businesses to include a wholesale food and non-alcoholic beverage company under the Blake's umbrellas as well as a franchisable modern take on a farm fresh bakery that rolled out in 2020 as Bakehouse 46.

“just do it. And if you don’t want to do it then that’s okay don’t be an entrepreneur. If you are going to be an entrepreneur just do it and be humble that you will learn along the way and be self-aware enough to know that you will change and you will change yourself. And change your direction before the mistakes get to large and you fail but just commit to it, you have to. ”…[Listen for More]

“I think the key to success is creating, as I said earlier, Creating the tribe. And when you go to create the tribe, and the tribe can be one, two, three, four… Soon as it gets to be more than two it’s a tribe. To make sure that you know yourself and you choose people that fill in your gaps that compliments you. They know something that you don’t know. So, you have got to be humble… To recognise you need other people in your tribe who know more than you do”…[Listen for More]

Benny Ausmus is the founder of the BIG Change Agency, and for the last 10 years, he’s brought transformation to yogurt factories, IT consultancies, flying trapeze schools (seriously!), manufacturers, accounting firms, recruitment companies, web developers, real estate agencies… just about every sort of business and industry you can imagine. “Treat learning as if it was an asset. Treat your own learning edge as if it was an asset of your business. So, the time that you invest and invest wisely in the right learning interventions to develop your skill set, to develop your ability… Treat that is something that can sit on your balance sheet as an investment for the future and find the right sources for it. The more you learn the more you earn provided it is real-world content. So, I’m not saying duck off and get an MBA, the truth is you are not going to learn how to manage people through an MBA. You are going to learn some cool models and probably develop a network if you go to the right one. But you learn to swim by being in the pool. So have a great coach, learn using practical applied interventions as you go through and invest heavily in that and you will see growth happen far faster for you”…[Listen for More]

“just find ways to really use your natural born talents. I think you know there is a lot of pressure we put on ourselves as individuals to achieve certain things financially or to achieve a certain level of prestige. When you look at whatever you are trying to do make sure that you are nurturing your natural talents, understand to the point about change that your talents are going to change over time. “don’t quit because that’s when you know that you failed. Because everybody is afraid of failure, right? It’s kind of one of those things where if you accept that you are going to have mistakes that you can fix then you can grow your business and you can be an entrepreneur. If you accept that any time you make a mistake you failed then you will pretty much lose and you will quit. So, it is really about growing what I call a growth mindset… It’s not my term it’s been out there. A growth mindset means that any time there’s a setback in your business use that as a learning opportunity to come back and grow stronger”…[Listen for More]

Jared Pope is the CEO and founder of Work Shield. While practicing law focused on human resources, ERISA, benefits, and employment matters, Jared realized industry-standard practices and the "system" for managing workplace harassment and discrimination were broken. Despite using outside reporting platforms, internal incident investigations meant employees were not reporting incidents due to fear of retaliation, and employers were not protecting their culture or themselves from the risk of legal action. Always ready for a challenge, Jared decided to make the system better, where voices are truly heard and incidents have a clear path to resolution. Jared created Work Shield - the first and only start-to-finish workplace harassment and discrimination solution and technology platform that gives employees a real voice, protects and ensures a safe workplace culture, and removes employer liability - all at the same time

“trust your gut and if you believe in yourself you have got to trust your gut. I assume any entrepreneur doesn’t start company because they don’t believe in themselves it’s because they do and you have to remember you have an idea and it’s okay that if it doesn’t work let the market tell you what’s good about it, what’s wrong about it, how do you need to tweak it, what’s the next iteration. But trust your gut. And no one is going to know your product better than you… And you can learn more from other people and adapt it to your knowledge but there is this intuitiveness of a gut check. James Jacobson has founded several companies and is a serial entrepreneur whose career has primarily been focused in the media arena since graduating from the University of Virginia in 1988. Currently James is building Dog Podcast Network. In the past several years, James has been putting his attention on a promising cancer therapeutic company he co-founded with Dr. Demian Dressler in 2008 called Functional Nutriments. James Jacobson has been described as both “a serial entrepreneur” and as a “monk in the marketplace.” He has authored best-selling books, been a broadcaster and built businesses that leveraged new trends that were sometimes considered “just a little ahead of their time.” The overarching theme of his career has been building ventures that make a meaningful difference in the lives of as many people as possible. For over 20 years, that took the form of creating projects and companies that leveraged the power of media including teleproduction, radio, publishing and, the Internet. Since 2008, James Jacobson’s focus has been on Functional Nutriments, a biotech company that has developed and brought to market first-in-class nutraceuticals that induce and support apoptosis. Apoptosis is a critical biological life process that is encoded in the DNA; and the absence of normal levels of apoptosis is linked to serious diseases including cancer. Businesses that he developed, founded or helped co-found include a video yearbook company, a teleproduction and video marketing company, a talk radio station, a cable TV network, an e-commerce company, a magazine publisher, a book publisher, and a biotech nutraceutical firm. His author credits include "How to Meditate with Your Dog" and the best-selling series "Top Maui Restaurants" which he co-authored with his wife, Molly Jacobson.

“do what you love, be passionate about what you love and don’t do it for the money. If you love money don’t be an entrepreneur be a salesperson… If you are going to dedicate your life and your blood and your sweat and your tears and your shower time and endanger relationships should be for something that you really, really love. And I think that’s so critical and I think sometimes especially at the beginning of someone’s entrepreneurial journey they are just looking to make the quick buck that usually… I won’t say never… That usually doesn’t work out in the long-term and it certainly doesn’t pay the psychic dividends that will feed you when you come across adverse”…[Listen for More]
