“go for it, you will figure it out. You have to understand that business, stop listening to people, do your own thing, pick who you are going to listen to and only listen to people who have what you want. Really have what you want, not have things, have what you want. And just go for it and give yourself enough time to make it work because three years is a very short period of time and that’s about what it’s going to take to make your business start to be what you want it to be”…[Listen for More]

“you have got to get out of the building, you have got to go and talk to your customers. Don’t go and pitch them your solution. The first time you meet with a customer don’t even talk about your idea, talk about them. I use a technique of flipping the conversation, it’s actually an old sales technique. So I briefly introduce myself then I will post some assumptions and then asked them if that’s what they face . I might say hi I’m Brant Cooper the CEO of Moves the Needle we bring an entrepreneurial spirit to large enterprises. When I talked to CEOs like yourself, I often hear that your company is moving too slowly and even though you say you are customer centric you really don’t understand your customers. Entrepreneur Annette Crone is the inventive mind behind X-Static - the world’s first anti-static hairbrush - and the founder of parent company ForBabs. With more than 30 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, and leadership, Crone has helped successfully launch a variety of products including founding her own medical spa in 2004, and now creating her own line of problem solving brushes for both pets and people! During periods of extended business travel, Crone continuously battled hair static and fly-aways. This led her to try every available solution, including an old-school hair “hack”: smoothing a dryer sheet over frazzled strands. “I just wasn’t satisfied with any option out there,” she explains. “Dryer sheets felt sterile and awkward, hair static sheets felt far too wet - I knew there had to be a simpler, more effective alternative.” Unable to find the solution she needed, Crone set out to create it for herself. Today, Crone has developed a more accessible, easy-to-use, and hygienic solution: the X-Static hairbrush designed to banish frizz and fight fly-aways on all hair types, including color-treated styles. Made in the USA by her parent company ForBabs - lovingly named after Crone’s mother, Barbara - the X-Static’s refillable brush heads feature 12 tear-and-toss anti-static sheets that give an instant beauty boost to wet or dry hair. Having raised three daughters in San Diego, California, Crone brings a lifetime of experience to the task of developing effective hairstyling tools. Firmly believing that life is about taking risks and pushing beyond your comfort zone, she established ForBabs to bring creative ideas to life and help support women-owned businesses like hers.

Taylor Draper is the CEO and co-founder of Inherent Clothier, an online custom menswear shop that is both a personal stylist and a mental health awareness movement. Built on Draper’s own struggles with depression, Inherent Clothier designs modern-day “suits of armor” that awaken the inner confidence to battle anxiety, overwhelm, and self-doubt. Following a troubled childhood in Anchorage, Alaska, Draper reached the age of 15 weighing over 300 pounds and diagnosed with clinical depression. At 16, he and his mother relocated to Colorado Springs, where Draper found the courage to make a fresh start and get healthy - both physically and mentally. A natural entrepreneur, he left home at the earliest opportunity to establish a website and graphic design company at age 18, where he learned the basics of business-building, marketing, and brand development. In 2017, after years of demanding 60-hour work weeks, Draper found himself battling crippling self-doubt, struggling with weight gain, and facing divorce. In order to save himself and his marriage, Draper sought healing and support through extensive counseling and found confidence in the most surprising of places: his wardrobe. “I realized that caring for myself and my appearance gave me the confidence to fight, helping me build strength to pick up the pieces of a broken marriage and begin to repair.” Along with suit designer Dace Miller and logistics expert Ian Lee, Draper established an online custom suit store where men could shop affordable luxury styles in the comfort of their own home. Today, the company actualizes the idea that when you look good, you really do feel good. But the larger goal for Draper is normalizing feelings of anxiety, depression, or self-doubt while sparking honest conversation around mental health, ultimately giving men the confidence and courage to speak out. “My mission will not be complete until phrases like ‘walk it off’ or ‘man up’ are extinct from our vocabulary and every man’s first instinct is to open up about feelings of overwhelm or depression without shame, guilt, or fear.” Through Inherent Clothier, Draper helps men build fully functional, versatile wardrobes that awaken confidence and authentic self-expression. The company also partners with local and national organizations working to empower individuals and communities to speak openly about mental health. A fan of MMA, Jiu Jitsu, and Formula 1, Draper recharges by adding to his collection of nearly 100 fine whiskeys and spending time with his family. Learn more at InherentClothier.com. Dr Steve Taubman is a bestselling author and world class speaker who has dedicated his life to showing people how to thrive through their challenges. He's written extensively on the application of contemplative practices in stressful situations and has spoken worldwide on mindset mastery for goal-oriented and helping professionals.

“study your craft… There are two driving forces that drive entrepreneurs and they look the same from the outside but they are very different from the inside. And one of them is passion and one of them is obsession… Passion is an energy that will take an entrepreneur and put him or her into a highly resourceful state for long periods of time. And so early in our progress as entrepreneurs we are working with great passion. Sometimes what happens is we hit a wall, we may become upon something that we don’t how to do but we feel such dogged determination that we start applying all of our energy on that one thing and we do it with what looks like passion from the outside so we are still working day and night. But what it is flipped from passion into obsession now we feel this sense of doom and I’ve got to get this done and just this horrible feeling of obligation. And most entrepreneurs cross that line without realising it. Highly successful entrepreneurs will again be mindful, they recognise the moment that they cross the line from passion into obsession. If they find themselves becoming obsessive and there is a negative energy associated they notice it and spot it early and typically what that means to the entrepreneur is that there is something that he or she doesn’t know how to do or isn’t as skilful or masterful at as he or she thinks he or she is and rather than go out and ask for help, rather than take a … Rather than go online and learn something new they just keep beating their heads against the wall. This is the death of entrepreneurship and of having heart attacks and ulcers or end up running from their businesses as if it’s a burning building. You’ve got to be willing to recognise when the passion is starting to change into a negative obsessive energy. And if it is you need to realise that that’s assigned that you need help, that you need more information and you probably need some kind of mentoring or coaching. And if you would only take that as a signal and a sign and do the right thing rather than beat your head against the wall trying to do it all yourself your life would be infinitely easier and you’d properly get much more successful much more quickly”…[Listen for More]
