“firstly and it might seem very basic but understand your market and particularly getting beyond your social circle which is where you naturally go. And Of course you can take some sale dings early on with where you are heading. But one of the big reasons for getting beyond that is I believe you have to have a clear point of difference that’s meaningful to you or potential customers because the world is so crowded now with a lot of me to offerings. As I said earlier you can come up with a very good basic offering but if you don’t have a point of difference it’s going to be very hard to market”…[Listen for More]

“really appreciate how lucky you are that you get to do what you do. It’s so hard being an entrepreneur and I think it’s really easy to get wrapped up in all of the challenges that come with that. It’s one of the reasons that I’m a big fan of having a peer support network because it’s really tough to go through that you don’t have others doing the same thing particularly if you are the CEO of the company because nobody really appreciates the challenges you have”…[Listen for More]

Don’t be afraid to make some changes that could lead to unlocking the real secret sauce of what’s going to drive the next wave of the growth of your business. “lead with purpose in everything that you do. And so, making sure that you are extremely clear. What is the purpose of your business? What are you offering? How does it serve others? What becomes possible in the lives of others because your product or service exists? Those are key questions that are all grounded and rooted in purpose and if you can solve those questions you remain valuable in the minds of your customers… So, staying true to that purpose is very important. It’s not to say that it can’t evolve over time in how you deliver on that purpose but knowing the why is very important”…[Listen for More]

Katherine Liola is the Founder & CEO of Concentric Private Wealth, where she and her team stick firmly to the belief that financial management isn't just about markets and algorithms. It's about people - their values, their goals, their life. Katherine started a movement to change the way others think about money, mindset, and health, providing the tools they need to live a more transformational life. Through her own life experience and professional expertise, she is taking the lead in experiencing the power of investing in YOU.

“really focus on who you are as a person, to make the space to hear yourself, for you to see yourself, for others to see you, to be honest with yourself. If you are not working on yourself you might still have wild financial success but for that success to mean something to you have to be connected with it. And for you to be able to create the true impact that you are seeking to create again a connection to you is so key and that’s what’s also going to be able to support you in your leadership because there will be a lot of distractions. So, if you can be centred on your values, if you can have that care of making sure that you are getting what you need but also giving yourself the attention in terms of learning opportunities so that you can grow that’s going to be incredibly huge. So I would say focus on you as a person”…[Listen for More]

“think about when you are older, think about when you are 80, 90 years old and what you would feel proud about saying and what you think you would regret. Because a lot of people they think about things and they don’t really look at the bigger picture. When you are that age in your older you are going to look back and you are going to regret the chances that you didn’t take, you will regret the time that you didn’t spend with your family, you will regret not going for it and doing something that you really loved and the time you spent working at a job that you hated. And so, the biggest advice I can give is don’t let yourself be someone who just wonders what if. Take action, even if it’s every day, whether it’s just one thing that takes you closer. Because most people underestimate the resources that are out there and how helpful people are”…[Listen for More]

“stick with it, this business can be really hard because there is going to be again high highs and low lows but if you know that this is what you are meant to do and when it is on a high high you are just so on purpose, you know this is what you were put on this earth to do… Stick with it especially during those hard times, double down and push harder because you are going to get through it it’s just a matter of time, it’s just doing that compound effect over and over again. And the more and more you realise that you almost welcome those lows because you know you are going to get through it and you have the tools and the resilience to get through it. “I am a very big fan of imperfect action so my number one recommendation to anyone even if I don’t know much about the situation is just take more action… Look at what you want to achieve… And rather than thinking what else do you need to add or what else you need to do in addition to what you are currently doing try and apply subtraction meaning remove the things that aren’t working. Strip away everything that isn’t necessary because what we’ve observed in our own business and with many clients is that even to get to a seven-figure business you typically only need to product or service offerings, you don’t need to have five, ten or more different things. So the more focused you become the more manageable it is and the easier it is to scale. “balancing your dreams with reality. It’s important that you start with a dream and that you dream truly with no unfettered, unhindered dreams. But then when it’s time to take the dream and turn it into a goal and then to turn your goal into a smart goal it’s so important that you balance the dream with the reality of where are you now, where are your financial resources, where are your time allocations and make decisions with a little bit of a methodical approach so that you do the timing correctly. Because the right thing at the wrong time a lot of times will hinder the immediate success of that project. There will be times of chaos because walking into entrepreneurship and walking the journey many times is chaos but you don’t want to freezing fear when the crazy happens you want to press forward and do it afraid and not let the chaos because you to freeze. That’s so huge and it’s just one foot in front of the other. Once you feel like the goals are worthwhile goal then one foot in front of the other and keep pressing and small steps lead to big accomplishments”…[Listen for More]

Reid Blackman was gripped by ethical problems the first semester of his first year in college over 20 years ago. Countless hours later, after reading, arguing, and teaching about ethics, he’s still hungry for more. While his early research concerned issues largely contained within the ivory tower, his research has become increasingly action-orientated, particularly as it concerns the ethics of emerging technologies and institutions like governments and corporations. Reid is a Senior Advisor to Ernst & Young and is a Founding Member of EY’s AI Advisory Board. He also sits on the committee for “Methods to Guide Ethical Research and Design” for the IEEE Global Initiative on Ethics of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems and is a member of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Alliance. He has taught at Northwestern University, the University of Texas in Austin, the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and Colgate University. When he isn’t doing ethics you can find him with his wife and children, unless there’s rock climbing to be done.

“I really think it’s important to talk to lots of people and just network your head off. There’s a way of networking that is gross where you just go around asking people what they could do for you. But I think there’s a kind of networking that is on the ethical up and up where you are motivated just as much by curiosity as you are self-interest. And so, you go around meeting people because you are curious to hear what they do and maybe they are in your field or maybe they are in and adjacent field or maybe they can’t help you but you can help them. I just think that stuff is extremely gratifying when you make connections, when you connect people to other people. And then also it could lead to your own welfare because then those people are grateful and then the introduce you to these other people that actually do benefit you. So do not underestimate the power of networking”…[Listen for More]

Then build a roadmap quarter by quarter to get you from where you are right now to that point… Build a plan every quarter to make more money until you hit that goal.
