“if you are not where you want to be and if you are truly an entrepreneur, I don’t know that you are ever where you want to be. But if you are not where you want to be, get someone to help you along the way. Get a coach, get a consultant who specialises in the area that you need help. And if that is with growth or it is with staffing, it’s with technical aspects of it, whatever area of your business is not where it needs to be, get help in that area. “I wouldn’t overthink anything when you are getting started except the one thing, I would think a lot about is one or two things but mostly selling the product. So, either marketing or how my going to market or how I going to sell this product. Because that is really where you can be the business… Without just getting started on the sales side you could spend months just preparing the logo and the design of the website and just never doing anything. So, sales and marketing should drive your business not your logo design”…[Listen for More]

“just get out of your own way. To recognise that if there is something that you want to do what is that? It’s maybe to ask yourself the question what would make me happy? What would make me feel fulfilled? If I could have anything at all especially in regards to my business what is it that I really want? So, a big piece is about getting that clarity so that you can have a direction to really point yourself in. Because when you are very clear about what you want now all of a sudden you can start creating a path and as opportunities start to come your way you will know immediately if it is aligned with that vision or if it’s not”…[Listen for More]

Like many people Brian Johnson has had his ups, downs and struggles! Blessedly, he has a couple fancy titles and 34 years of education, experience and earned wisdom that he uses to help people make better choices to balance their life and get back up to thriving! We are human, and none of us are perfect all the time. This is Brian’s approach, it’s simple. People need to be armed with the right knowledge and accountability that helps you gain the right focus. It’s not about ‘Transformation’, while this is nice it can be really daunting. Brian prefers ‘Simple 1 Degree Shifts’ that anyone, or any business can use immediately to shift focus. He provides the tools, daily accountability and support required to help people transition into behaviors that will get them where they desire to be.

“start where you are at. Don’t judge yourself or compare yourself to other people. Instead just compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Be compassionate with yourself, be gentle with yourself. As high performers I think one of the biggest things is probably one of the biggest challenges is being loving with our self. Because as high performers a lot of times we can hold ourselves to higher standards and sometimes those standards are automatically set for failure. So, if your standards are set so you constantly fail you need to adjust them and just find someone to model. Find someone who has values that you admire, find someone that you look up to, see what they are doing, if it resonates with you do it and if it doesn’t don’t. Follow your gut. If it’s not a heavens yes it’s a no”…[Listen for More]

“my best advice is having the right mindset and not letting fear getting your way. We are all in that situation where we don’t know what we don’t know. But go to your local resources and find out what they offer. There is so many diamonds out there, there are so many things out there that are available to entrepreneurs in almost every community. Your local municipalities, sometimes your government all of them have some form of support for small business. Seek them out, find out what they are providing. And when you are doing or setting up your business always know it’s not about who you know it’s about who knows you. So, you want to put yourself and your business in a position where whatever solution you are providing when you open up your doors a lot of people say I have a gift and I put it out there and I’m going to offer it. Make sure there is a market for it, make sure you identify what solution are you actually solving so that when you speak to your potential client base you are talking to them from the solution perspective not from your perspective ”…[Listen for More]

“just be yourself, don’t look at your competitors. If you look, look for inspiration, don’t copy someone. Don’t compare yourself basically. You can look at what other people do but if that does not feel aligned with what you do find your own groove, find your own way of doing business. And also, be brave enough to sell something that no one else is selling yet. Because obviously you have to do your marketing but don’t be one of the others be yourself and if you are yourself you are unique, your brand is unique because no one is you”…[Listen for More]

“I will give three things. One is focus. Many entrepreneurs suffer from shiny object syndrome. I have found most success in focusing on the core business and the adjacent possibilities versus every shiny thing that comes along. Two: create the culture you want and hire to it. Don’t sacrifice on people or principles just to solve a business challenge. It is way harder to correct course then it is to set it and stay on it. And three, specifically for the entrepreneur, strive to find balance… Your business will absolutely consume you if you let it. You have to find a way to find balance and if you do you will be more successful and productive versus just piling every ounce of you into the business”…[Listen for More]

“you don’t need to do it alone. Just ask. So many of us start off like we have to do it by ourselves. It’s a very independence, we’ve got something to prove, something to do, and idea that we don’t want to share. The reality is being a really strong entrepreneur means you have a lot of strong people around you in whatever support that they can offer. So do the work, investing yourself before you start asking other people to invest in you. Which means you are willing to ask for the support that you need at any point along the journey. Serial Entrepreneur, Angel Investor, 13-Time Bestselling Author, co-host of the "Capability Amplifier" podcast and “The Big Leap” with Gay Hendricks.

“you got to be a triple threat. Here is what that means. First of all, you have got to be able to sell on the phone. You have got to learn how to sell and how to overcome objections and not take anything personally… The next one is salesmanship in print. Copywriting, copywriting, copywriting. That means what you do is you go to the Gary Halbert letter, you get Dan Kennedy’s sales letter, there’s another couple of great sales letters like the collier letter collection. You get those books; you get a yellow pad and a pen and you write and rewrite those sales letters by hand 25 times. And you are going to learn a voice and you are going to be able to adapt your voice and you are going to know why you are going to think about it and meditate on it. And yeah it is going to suck and it is hard work that’s what determines your discipline. The third, video. Learn how to speak on video. So, I would say speaking, learn how to speak. When you have got to get used to getting over however you look and however you sound and whatever other kind of BS little bitch excuses you for not blah blah blah. Whatever your reason why is. And get over yourself and your ego and say if you want to attract amazing things in your life you have got to learn how to present and perform and educate and entertain. And all of these three role into the big picture which is what makes you amazing as being a great storyteller. And that’s been able to project your perfect audience into a movie starring them with you and your product and service as a guide”…[Listen for More]

“before committing to an entrepreneurial path be strategic and creative about what you sell. Can you do what you want to do but put a twist on it so it’s different to what else is on the marketplace. Can you apply technology to offer a better solution? Think about what you can design that’s your secret sauce… To be able to clearly answer the questions. What is the problem you solve? And who do you serve? Who is your human? And if you align all of your marketing to those two questions you will just shortcut a lot of fluff that that you really don’t need. Customers don’t care anything about us they care about themselves. And we really need to think about who is that customer we serve and what problem are we solving for them?
