Kevin E. West is a veteran television actor with over 60 credits including Aquarius, Criminal Minds, Bones, Castle, CSI: Miami, Justified, Touch, Leverage, Lost, 24, Desperate Housewives, NCIS, Alias, CSI Judging Amy and dozens more. Kevin is the Founder of The Actors’ Network, and the creator of the ActorBizGuru industry interview video series, both of which are award winning. The Actors’ Network was awarded consecutive BackStage West 'Reader's Choice' awards (06/07). A few of it’s alumni include Emmy Nominee Masi Oka (Heroes), Chelsey Crisp (Off The Boat), Chris Gorham (Covert Affairs-Ugly Betty) and Maggie Grace (Taken trilogy). Industry wide, Kevin is considered the top expert opinion speaker on the ‘business of show business. His speaker appearances include: ShowBiz Expo, WGA, SAG LifeRaft Foundation, and UCLA as well as A Date with Hollywood, for the Swedish Film Institute (Stockholm). Additionally Kevin Co-Authored the audio CD program, The Actor’s Guide to GETTING THE JOB and spent his early years in Hollywood as a paid Stand-up Comic and Improv performer. He just released his long awaited book on the business: 7 Deadly Sins - The Actor Overcomes, on sale now at Samuel French Hollywood/New York, Book Soup & also available on Amazon. Additional: Kevin was a featured panelist for A Date with Hollywood (15’) in Stockholm, hosted at the Swedish Film Institute. As a nationally recognized speaker Kevin has saved many actors from the pitfalls of the often heart wrenching life of the actor in Hollywood with wit, warmth and wisdom. Kevin has spoken at the SAG LifeRaft Foundation, SAG Conservatory, ShowBiz Expo (NYC), WGA West, UCLA, Chapman University, Cal State Fullerton and talent conventions across the U.S. from Dallas to Florida. In 2010 Kevin launched ActorBizGuru.com, an extensive 49 video interviews with top industry professionals, voted the #1 online educational resource for actors by BackStage West in 2014. Kevin is also the co-Author of, The Actor's Guide to Getting the Job, a 2-hour audio CD with former top commercial instructor, Carolyne Barry. In the Spring of 2004, Kevin’s philanthropic soul, created the Hack n' Smack, Kerry Daveline Memorial, Celebrity Golf Classic benefiting Melanoma research. The event was voted one of the top 10 celebrity golf events in SoCal by Southland Golf magazine. During its 10-year lifespan celebrity participation included: Joe Pesci, Joe Mantegna, Ron Perlman and Michael Chiklis. Kevin also Executive Produced the spiritual event, Together We Can, Together We Will, in the wake of the L.A. riots, and the teen runaway benefit Runnin' on Empty both of which included Jason Alexander. He is a former collegiate golfer, ran the LA Marathon 4 times, played in the Men's Senior Baseball World Series 6 times and is a deadly serious Texas Hold-em player.
