“ruthlessly questioning yourself making sure that you really know why you are doing what you are doing and not just doing it because people are saying that’s what you should be doing. You have got to be honest to yourself, you have got to be self-aware to know what you are good at and what you are not good at, where you need help. Just whether or not what you are doing makes sense… Being able to communicate that value properly, make sure that you are building something that people are going to be interested in and you have got a path to get there. And figuring that out is really the first step to building a business”…[Listen for More]

“take action. So many of us have ideas, I believe everyone has an idea… If you are excited about that idea and you want to develop it must take action… I really recommend sitting down writing down your goals… Without thinking, writing out everything that you want to accomplish, and you can go one month, one year, 10 years, do whatever feels good for you. Once you write out your goals put them into categories, something like health, personal, financial, relationships, business, career, whatever resonates with you. Once you put them in categories the next thing I would suggest is you circle maybe your top three in each”…[Listen for More]

Marco Streng is the CEO of Genesis Group, a Mathematician and early Bitcoin investor.

“One of the most important things is to never give up and to never get demotivated and staying positive. If you can really maintain that positive attitude and use changes for the benefit of yourself and your goal and really believe in what you do, I think that’s the absolute foundation. If you lose one of these component others will sense that also. You need to believe in what you do very strongly so that you can convince others to that to and to follow you”…[Listen for More]

“don’t take no for an answer. Always remember that the best things that get created are those that others already know about. So when people tell you this is a crazy idea, it’s not going to work don’t take that as a no, plough through it, force yourself to find a way to prove it out on a microscale before you start scaling it. Ariel Garten is probably one of the most interesting people you will meet. She is a psychotherapist, Neuroscientist, mom, former fashion designer, and the female founder and visionary of an amazing and highly successful tech start-up Muse. Muse tracks your brain during meditation to give you real-time feedback on your meditation, guiding you into the "zone" and solving the problem most of us have when starting a meditation practice- letting you know when you are doing it right. When she is not reading brains (literally) or investing in, inspiring and advising other start-ups and women in biz, you can find her on stages across the world, from TED to MIT to SXSW, inspiring people to understand that they can accomplish anything they want by learning what goes on in their own mind.

“there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Really, we are so held back by the thoughts that we have in our head, by the voices that try to warn us of things that we don’t actually need to be afraid of, by the fear that we create ourselves. And if you move that fear out of the way, if you move those voices out of the way you can really accomplish and do anything you want in the world. You don’t need to have the skills and capabilities; you can just hire people who are good at it; funding there is lots of sources to find it these days. You can really accomplish anything that you put your mind to”…[Listen for More]

Dr Joe Schaefer is a digital marketing expert with an incredibly diverse background. He started his own marketing agency in 2008 and has served hundreds of clients since then. He also is a published Neuroscience researcher with a PhD from the University of Texas, which is why his clients often call him Dr. Joe. He has trained and taught Kung Fu continuously for over 30 years. He brings all of these skills into each breakthrough marketing strategy he creates for his business clients.

“stay the course, picture yourself on a 10 year plan. If you want to write down belts and say hey when I am a brown belt, I will have this when I am a black belt I will be doing that, and make it very realistic. What will I be doing at these different milestones and steps on my progress and have the 10 year goal be the ultimate one that you are looking for? And then draw a line between white belt and that 10 year goal and bring some realism to your progress and congratulate yourself when you have small successes and realise that it’s a part of the path when you have setbacks”…[Listen for More]

Sunny Bonnell and Ashleigh Hansberger are the co-founders of Motto, a branding agency for disruptors, game-changers and rare breeds. For over a decade, the dynamic pair teaches leaders how to stand out, think different, and lead bold brands.

“stop comparing your success to other people’s success. I think that’s one of the hardest things to do as entrepreneurs is wanting to be further along than where we are and kind of having the impatience or the frustration of kind of watching other people succeed and not being happy for them. I think it’s really important to support other people’s success but I also think that we need to stop comparing where we are with where somebody else is. Everyone gets shown the sizzle reel and being an entrepreneur is not glamorous, it really isn’t. It’s the physical, mental, emotional courage that it takes is a lot. So I think the best advice is just you are good, you will get through it, keep going, don’t put so much pressure on you”…[Listen for More]

In a galaxy far far away in what feels like another lifetime Anthony Poponi was a non-profit professional working on rivers and creeks, saving sea turtles or kids and dabbling in every level of living the non-profit life from entry level to Executive Director to nearly everything else in between. During his career Anthony has always been a communicator and favored roles where he either entertains or educates and occasional he even does both. Anthony loves connecting dots in both simple drawings and in complex settings where his inner-communicator brings together individuals to create, connect and laugh. While holding a microphone one day Anthony had an epiphany....'I should do this more.' Anthony speaks on the many facets of happiness on stage as a keynote, workshop, host, moderator or emcee and supports entrepreneurs in Colorado through the ICELab and Small Business Development center as programming Mentor focused on 'taking the fear out of public speaking' and showing entrepreneurs a path towards greater fulfillment for themselves and their teams.

“not everyone should be an entrepreneur. There is a lot of discomfort that comes from being an entrepreneur. And you have to understand that there is going to be a lot pressure on you at all times to make the income flow. It’s all on you. And maybe the other piece of advice is if you are going to be an entrepreneur just know that in the start-up phase you wind up doing it all, and you have to do the accounting, you have to do all these things if you don’t have a significant start-up money to hire a team and start with the team… Over time complexity gets so high that you need expertise in certain silos so you need to find them. And what it also does is, the more you can do that, put yourself in that creative high-value space of the special source of what you do gets to come out and then having other people support that”…[Listen for More]

Kimberly Massey, THE Business Ca$h Lady, has over 25+ years in Business Credit, Financing and Banking. She helps business owners get access to capital to start, grow and sustain their businesses. She shouts "YES!" when the banks say, "No."

“Hold on, stay the course. And I say that because eight out of ten businesses they fail within five years whatever reason. That can be lack of financing, lack of information, lack of support of course it can be other scenarios that would add to that, but the statistics still remain eight out of ten fail. There are only two remaining out of that group and I believe only one of them will thrive. I want those numbers to change. Hang in there, do something that you haven’t done before, turn up one more stone, take one more class, get one more mentor, watch one more YouTube. That may be the difference of making that number from 8 to 10, to 7 to 10, to 6 to 10, to 2 to 10. We can change the odds just hang in there”…[Listen for More]

“be careful who you listen to. People are very free with advice. But it is easy to give advice if you don’t have a stake in the outcome. It’s astonishing to me how many people tell somebody who has a story where they have overcome something, ‘oh my god you should be a motivational speaker’and of course this is coming from somebody who isn’t a motivational speaker, has no idea what it takes, all the people who say ‘follow your passion and you will never work a day in your life’ that is such complete crap. I think passion is probably one of the leading sources of business failure because people think if you really are passionate, if you really love what you do the rest will fall into place, it is so not true, and passion is fine but nobody cares if you have passion that may be what drives you. I think the best advice recognise that the business is a business, if you like what you are doing all the better. We heard advice for years there was this old adage that said ‘if you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door’ and it’s ridiculous, just by being good that’s enough, right at the end of the day it’s about quality, no at the end of the dates about hard work, at the beginning of the dates about quality, it better be good. The best advice is you will never work harder in your life and ‘there is no elevator to success you have got to take the stairs’and success is reserved for those… My colleague Rory Vedan talks about this that, you want to show up after success be willing to do the things that other people aren’t”…[Listen for More]

“this is a marathon, this isn’t a sprint. And so success early could be one of your worst things that could happen to. I think because it’s such a long haul a lot of times I see people starting and like oh we’ve got our clients and we are making this much money, whatever. And then all of a sudden the bottom drops because they’ve gotten too much success too early and they didn’t understand how to really manage their business very well. And so the thing to think about is that this is a long haul, you are going to have ups you are going to have downs and you have got to try and stay in the middle. After Dr. Gary Salyer’s first divorce, he vowed that his next marriage would be different. So when his second marriage crumbled almost a decade later for nearly the same reasons he was devastated. He felt like an utter, complete failure. But rather than give in, he was determined to find another way. He dedicated himself to doing the deep research about all things love. He read, researched, furthered his education in the field, talked to experts and to people he loved. Most of all he did the deep transformation work that unlocked his heart and released his soul to love as he had always imagined. Love — and how to make it lasting - became his life’s highest calling—not just for himself, but others. In so doing, he has developed a powerful and effective methodology to make it “Safe to Love Again” for those who may have even given up hope. Based on a field of study called Attachment Theory, the science of intimate relationships, Dr. Sayler’s insights have a profound and often times immediate impact. As a transformational relationship mentor, he helps people re-write the rules for love in their brains. He empowers singles to reclaim their rights for a full soulmate relationship. With couples, he helps resolve their conflicts and differences so they can have the love they dream about.

“there is three things to consider as an entrepreneur, eliminate the fear, find your true self and get out of your comfort zone. Fear holds people back to getting to great things. You maybe in a situation that comfortable, good income, friends at the office whatever but if it leaves you wanting more and you can’t figure why then you are not living your full potential and you are leaving something on the table.
