A teacher himself for twelve years, John Cochener started Academy Tutors in 2012. He created the company to support student’s entire college admission experience. His goal is to help them improve their grades and to counsel them on the basics of becoming a good college student.
“Have a plan… the plan is how are you going to create value instead of just working harder. And how are you going to get other people to create value for you and what are you going to offer to those people. Because it is very short-sighted to say I can make more money doing this for myself because there is a lot of things you are losing out on when you do that – the sick days, the health insurance, all those things.
