“the best feature that you can have is the one that you create for yourselves. And so if you are entering the world of entrepreneurialism imagine the future that you want and then build it. We see cases every day of people who are successful in finding creative ways to solve problems and be innovative with product development and finding a new way to do an old thing. And so if it is what you want and your heart is in it, imagine the future that you want and then go and do the work necessary to make it happen. And then in a year or two or five years you will look back and go wow this is amazing I can’t believe we have accomplished this or I have accomplished this”…[Listen for More]

A successful image is not created in a burst of light at 1/60th of a second. It is manufactured over time through conversation, with attention to details and a depth of photography experience. David McCammon has been a pro for over 30 years and shares his business knowledge and experiences as an entrepreneur through his book “Image Power: Balancing Passion and Profit in Business”.

“Build relationships and key one try to put yourself in your client’s shoes. We have a tendency to look at things from our own perspective. Put yourself in your client shoes, how are they going to receive this, how can you serve them, and how can you solve their pain?”…[Listen for More]

Blair Dunkley has been called an innovator and unconventional for his way of guiding entrepreneurs to find clarity. His clients usually achieve 2 to 10 X results and sometimes even more. In a 10-year period, his clients, which were stalled or in decline, increased their topline by $757 million.

“evaluate yourself fairly and stop judging yourself. And make sure that that evaluation is externally verifiable. There are so many people out there, entrepreneurs especially who judge themselves harshly, way too harshly and they are so self-critical that they stall themselves out from developing their own brilliance and moving forward and figuring stuff out and they just getting their own way. And there is so much potential in that group of people who have already self-selected to become an entrepreneur because they have something that they want to do with their lives and that is a huge disservice that they do usually to themselves, sometimes to the teams around them but definitely to themselves more times than not. And the ones that don’t tend to move much faster when they evaluate because they look at what’s worked, what doesn’t work and what’s one thing that I can change. And when it has worked they acknowledge that strength”…[Listen for More]

So be passionate, believing yourself and don’t give up”…[Listen for More]

“I think it’s all about being strategic in setting strategic goals. When I first started because I didn’t know what I was doing I would set goals and it would be maybe an income goal or the number of clients I want to connect with or something like that. And those are good goals but figuring out how they align with what I want and what I need my business to look like is so much more important than just setting a really high goal. Let’s say I wanted to make $10 million this year and I set that goal. Okay that’s a great goal but does it align with first of all what I want my lifestyle to look like and secondly does it really align with my business, is that what I need to be a successful business owner” …[Listen for More]

Parham Parastaran is an Iranian-American entrepreneur and author with a passion for discussing mental health issues in the business community. Although he enjoyed success as an entrepreneur, he had a secret: He suffered from severe depression and addiction. A rock-bottom moment led to signing himself up for psychoanalysis, starting a journey that opened up the darkest doors within himself and found him revisiting a childhood of trauma. Over 15 years after that first psychoanalysis session, he chronicles his powerful story in new memoir, Perfect Pain.

“the deeply deeply deeply honest with yourself. Now why you are doing things. And it’s okay if the reason you are doing things is because you are pissed out of anger, but know that… Know that you are struggling and be able to talk about it and get help. If you are not honest with yourself then you are just doing things and being an entrepreneur for all these other wrong reasons and typically speaking in my opinion never reached the success and the potential that you are destined to have if you can’t be honest with yourself and your insecurities and the things that you lack. So being honest with yourself numero uno”…[Listen for More]

“push through the pain. Do not let painful experiences hinder you from accomplishing what it is that you have set out to accomplish. I am referring specifically to taking career risks, sharing ideas that you might fear are unwelcome but I really think that we have to do that, taking risks on setting high goals, lofty goals, and figuring out how you are going to hit them later. “never give up. That’s without a doubt. And work as hard as possible or I would say put in as many hours as possible for that matter especially in those early stages of the organisation. I think there is far too many individuals out there who are comfortable with giving up when something goes wrong especially in those initial stages because there is a lot of risk… learning all aspects of the business is very very important. That of course comes along with the work ethic side of things because you do have to put in the extra effort to learn the areas that aren’t actually under your purview or you are not generally focused on from a day-to-day perspective”…[Listen for More]

“work harder, work smarter, but also just do the work. There is no successful person that I have ever met that has been able to just hack working hard. You have to do it. You have to put in those insane hours at first, your family is going to hate you for a while but you have to go all in. Don’t expect to do it all. Do communicate to your friends what they can expect from you because you are going to miss parties, you are going to miss birthdays, you are going to miss events but you have to do that. “Start right now. That doesn’t mean go and quit your day job and give everything up today. If you are in a place to do that then great… someone once gave me another great piece of advice, they said what you do in your spare time when you are not at your job, that is a great indicator of who you are and how badly you want something… every single day you should be doing something for that. So maybe register the .com domain, register the LLC, maybe spend 20 minutes doing this on your spare time when you’re not working… just do it… it doesn’t mean all or nothing I guess you could start small and do something every day towards your goal and it is going to happen quicker than you realise”…[Listen for More]

“get some knowledge in a lot of things as opposed to mastering one thing. You need to have the mastery but you also need to understand legal implications, you need to understand some accounting, you need to understand some finance… learn human interactions, human traits, understand people, body language, don’t forego that, I think by far this is the most important thing, Is to understand how to relate to certain people even though their style is different to yours. Just be successful with people and I think everything else will fall into place and you need to technically understand the rest. But people is what is going to get you through passages in life and is going to make you fall if you don’t understand people. The biggest problem was to make that jump with so little money because you are always unsure, you are always chasing to make sure that you will get in the deals done because you have got bills to pay and it is all on you. “doing your own business can completely take over your life, it can take over your weekends, your evenings because when you are starting off especially you are just doing everything. So my advice is to make self-care your absolute number one priority, do not let that fall to the wayside at all. So if you have a practice of maybe some kind of body movement like exercise or yoga, whatever don’t stop doing it. Or if it is meditation do not stop doing that. Or maybe it’s socialising and getting together with friends every once in a while. Make it a priority. Michele Scism a serial entrepreneur who knows how it feels to fail miserably at business, at one time the bank actually called demanding their $1.5 million back, and also knows how it feels to sign the contract to sell her company for $9 million dollars.

“My best advice is to make the decision. Whatever it is that you are trying to figure out and you have been just beating yourself up over it or maybe I should try it but you can’t seem to get yourself commit to it, you need to walk through that process of making a decision, a ‘yes’ or ‘no’. It could be ‘no’ right. I do make quick decisions. It is who I am I am very decisive. And I don’t always make the right decisions but when I don’t make the right decision I go an make my wrong decision right. Meaning I go and do whatever I have to do to fix it. But here is the thing because I had made a decision I wasn’t wasting all of that time thinking about it and wondering about it – and why and how. Right. Guys you have to make decisions and just move forward.”…[Listen for More]
